The Chinon Blanc 'Les Chaineaux' from Domaine des Freres is made from Chenin Blanc grapes grown in the Chinon area in the Loire Valley. It comes from plots located on soils composed of sand and clay that give the wine freshness and expressive precision. The vinification with indigenous yeasts involves a two-day maceration on the skins, followed by fermentation with indigenous yeasts and subsequently twelve months of aging in large barrels. On the nose, hints of ripe and candied fruit emerge, with notes of sweet spices in the finish. The sip is velvety, enveloping but endowed with momentum and freshness.
