Chardonnay 'Magred' Nals Margreid 2021
The "Magred" Nals Margreid is a Chardonnay that tells very well the terroir from which it comes. Aged seven months, partly in steel and partly in large casks, gives us a very thick bouquet with hints of pineapple and tropical fruit, while the taste is full of minerality and freshness
The Chardonnay “Magred” Nals Margreid is an Alto Adige white wine that announces itself with a fruity olfactory impression, where mature notes of banana and pineapple can be found. The sandy conformation of the territory where the Chardonnay vines grow contributes to giving a pleasant freshness to the sip, which is also enlivened by a mineral flavor. An extremely versatile bottle in the kitchen, it is recommended to pair with first courses or with grilled fish second courses.
“Magred” Nals Margreid is a pure Chardonnay that originates from vineyards located near Margreid, where the conditions are optimal for creating high-quality products. The soils are sandy and gravelly, with a high content of humus and limestone. After vinification, carefully monitored by the winery team, the production process ends with aging, where the wine rests for seven months in both steel containers and large barrels. Once the maturation phase is completed, bottling and marketing operations can proceed.
The white Chardonnay “Magred” Nals Margreid presents itself visually with a straw yellow color, characterized by a particularly intense light. On the nose, exotic fruity notes are perceived, with pineapple standing out in particular; at the end of the olfactory analysis, one is enveloped by fresh hints. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a sip that flows with liveliness thanks to a decidedly refreshing mineral vein; the sip, as a whole, presents itself as elegant and refined. A bottle that is part of the “selections” of the Nals Margreid winery, and which therefore offers an important quality level, the result of a careful selection of grapes that begins already during the harvest in the vineyard.
