The Barolo ‘La Serra’ by Marcarini represents the other side of Barolo from the historic winery of La Morra. This cru, although positioned right next to the Brunate hill, produces wines that are more subtle and refined compared to its counterpart. The soils, poor in organic substances but rich in mineral salts and microelements, along with a slightly delayed maturation, yield a wine of great elegance. The ethereal and very persistent bouquet recalls violet, rose, licorice, and sweet spices, while the sip is savory, generous, and never excessively tannic.
